Minion 2.0

Minion is back and better than ever! When he was first released to the public, his creator (me) was not very experienced in the workshop, and he still isn't! But now, the character is finally a higher quality, a great improvement.

Move-set
In this incarnation of our yellow little friend, there have been some vast changes to the move-set, spanning from minor tweaks to major changes to entirely new moves. Each move deserves its own in-depth explanation, and that's what they're going to get.

Jab
Minion's new Jab is a very simple design; it deals low knockback and 12 damage. Jab is meant not for combo starting or being a finishing move, it is instead used as an easy way to deal a lot of damage. The new Jab is modeled after a classic karate chop, but it instead comes off looking like a weird punch-uppercut mix.

Forward Tilt
Minion's new forward tilt starts with low knockback, but it increases overtime (unlike jab, which increases but far less). Ftilt deals a modest 10 damage. Ftilt serves the opposite purpose to Jab, instead being GOOD for both combo-starters and finishing moves, as well as being a simple damage dealer. Ftilt is modeled after a generic martial arts kick.

Up Tilt
Minion's up tilt is great. It has average knockback and deals only 5 damage, but Utilt makes up for this by being both a good combo-starter and being able to combo into itself - That's right, you can combo Utilt into Utilt. Utilt is modeled after minions with tall heads. They look funny.

Down Tilt
Minion's down tilt has average knockback, knocking the opponent strait up into the air. Dtilt deals 20 damage over two hits, meaning if the opponent is frozen it is more effective. Dtilt is an excellent combo-starter, being perfect for popping enemies into the air making them easy to hit. Dtilt is one of three moves to be modeled after Bob's extendo arm from the first Minions movie.

Forward Strong
Minion's forward strong is a powerful attack, with strong knockback and dealing 10 damage. Forward strong is a great finishing move, its strong knockback scaling contributing to its success. Fstrong also sees the Minion leaping forward, allowing his active hitbox to cover a larger area than other grounded attacks. Fstrong is based on the evil purple minions from Despicable Me 2: Back to work.

Up Strong
Minion's up strong is one of my personal favorite attacks, with strong knockback and dealing between 6 and 9 damage. Ustrong's hitbox is very good, reaching high up into the air, a useful attack to deal with aerial enemies. Ustrong is a legendary finishing move able to deal powerful knockback to enemies on top platform. Ustrong, similar to Utilt, is inspired by tall minions. They look very funny.

Down Strong
Minion's down strong is different from the rest, being a three hit attack. The first two hits of dstrong deal low knockback and 5 damage, while the final hit deals average knockback and 8 damage. Dstrong is best for dealing damage rather than combos, having potential to deal a total of 18 damage. Dstrong is based on the cookie robots from Despicable Me 1: This time it's the first movie.

Neutral Air
Minion's neutral air is what can only be described as "oppressively powerful". Nair deals 8 damage over 8 hits, which doesn't sound good, but it is. Knockback is low, making it easy to combo Nair into Nair, racking up lots of damage quickly. Nairs hitbox is very large, making damage easy. Nair is a quick attack, allowing it to be spammed easily. Nair is based on a mace, this being the weapon used in Nair. However, Nair's real inspiration comes from Cloud Strife's nair in Smash 4.

Forward Air
Minion's forward air is very good, dealing average-high knockback and 9 damage. Where fair really specializes is with its hitbox, which has a very long length, making it great for attacking far-away enemies. Fair has great combo and finishing potential, making it an easy pick in tough situations. Fair is the second attack to be based on Bob's extendo arm.

Back Air
Minion's back air has strong knockback and deals 12 damage, making it a good attack for all situations. Bair has good combo potential and works well as a finisher. Bair has a small hitbox compared to other attacks, requiring players to be more precise than with other attacks. Bair isn't really based on anything, it was just a cool idea for an attack and I made it.

Up Air
Minion's up air has low knockback but high damage, dealing up to 18 damage over 9 hits. Uair has a small hitbox, making it situationally useful, but with a high reward for using it correctly. Uair isn't great for combos and is basically useless as a finsher. Uair is based on the chainsaw birthday party scene from the beginning of Despicable Me 2: Gru and Vectors excellent adventure.

Down Air
Minion's down air is one of his few projectile, and deals high knockback and 7 damage. Dair is a great attack for spiking the enemy, making them shoot downwards on impact. Dair is a great combo starter and can be good as a finishing move. Dair is based on the new minion Otto from Minions 2: Tame Impalas Yellow Album.

Neutral Special
Minion's neutral special is the Freeze Ray, which deals no knockback and deals 12 damage. On hit, Nspecial freezes the enemy, allowing Minion players to land some free hits on their enemies. Nspecial is great for damage, allowing multiple hits before the opponent is unfrozen (as you may be able to tell, nspecial is literally useless for finsihing opponents). Nspecial is based on Gru's Freeze Ray, famously used in Despicable Me 1.1: Minions Endgame.

Forward Special
Minion's forward special is the Minions Car, which deals average knockback and deals 7 damage. Fspecial is more of a utility attack, moving the player very far very fast. Fspecial can be a good finisher, but is mostly used for quick movement. Fspecial is based on the minion's tiny version of Gru's car from Despicable Me 1.2: Shopping for Unicorn.

Up Special
Minion's up special is the hypno hat, with a stun effect and dealing 8 damage. Uspecial has a similar but different effect to Nspecial, allowing for Minion players to get one free hit on an opponent. Uspecial, unlike Nspecial, has great finisher potential, seeing as you can stun an opponent and hit them with any powerful attack that takes longer to startup. Uspecial is based on the hypno hat from Minions 1: Bob's biggest blunder.

Down Special
Minion's down special is the fart gun, which has high knockback and deals 15 damage. Dspecial has a long startup, balancing its kill potential and lowering its combo-ability. Dspecial uses a projectile which moves quite slowly, being used based for close-range combat. Dspecial is based on Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch, as well as the fart guns from Despicable Me 1.3: Gru 1: Electric Grugaloo.

Oh, you thought that was all the attacks? NOPE! There's even more, including Taunt, Aerial strongs, and Aerial specials. I'm running out of space to type, so have fun!
