Rappelling
About:
For a long time I was looking for a rappel addon on the workshop that allowed me to bring some realism/scenery into Military Roleplay and such. Unfortunately there wasn't one... until now.
Features:
  • Slow Rappelling Down
  • Fast Rappelling Down
  • Customizable Rappel Distance
  • Customizable Rappel Speed (Fast/Slow Descend and Ascending)
  • Customizable Rappel Cut Sound
  • LFS/LVS Support
Commands:
    Client:
  • rappel_helirappel - Rappel out of a helicopter
    Admin Only
  • rappel_maxrappeldistance - Change the max rappelling distance (Default: 300)
  • rappel_slowdescendspeed- Change the speed of the slow descend (Default: 160)
  • rappel_fastdescendspeed - Change the speed of the fast descend (Default: 236)
  • rappel_ascendspeed - Change the speed of the ascend (Default: 236)
  • rappel_setropecutsound - Change the sound that is emitted when you cut your rappel rope (Left ALT + E) (Default: physics/surfaces/tile_impact_bullet1.wav)
    USE QUOTATION MARKS WHEN CHANGING THE SOUND [EX: "sounddir" NOT sounddir]
  • rappel_shouldsnapondistance - Should the rope snap if the max rappel distance is surpassed. (Default: 1)
  • rappel_sethelioffset arguments: heliClass number- What offset should there be for the pos you get set to when you rappel out of a heli.
    Example: rappel_sethelioffset lvs_combineheli (Right click on the helicopter you spawn, and press Copy to clipboard) 250 (default: 100)

  • Left Alt - Slowly Descend
  • Left Control - Fast Descend
  • Left Alt + E - Cut Rope
  • Space - Ascend
