Genesis Prime class Corvette

As a starter ship or light multirole, the Genesis series leaves little to be desired. A full range of industrial and combat features make this class fully self-sufficient, and it includes a rift generator for interstellar travel. The Prime model is upgraded with more versatile armaments, an optimized warp drive, and a stylish new cabin space. These upgrades come at the cost of raw hauling power, but for all but the heaviest hauling jobs, this sacrifice is more than worthwhile.

  Warp performance: The Genesis Prime is optimized to reach warp 9 without charging delays while carrying up to 40,000 tons of cargo (equivalent to 90 crates of standard ammo), and has been tested to sustain warp for 4 minutes 30 seconds at maximum recommended load. This is more than adequate for hauling a full load of mono-xanthium or any type of ore. Overloading the ship may result in long charge delays. Consider using the standard Genesis model for hauling extremely heavy materials, as its untuned drive will charge faster with extremely heavy loads.
  
  Industrial analysis: This ship can mine and produce its own fuel, ammunition, and other supplies. An external cargo pod provides ample storage space for a ship of this size. The cargo teleporter is directly adjacent to the cargo pod access for easy unloading and delivery.
  
  Tactical analysis: Due to the inclusion of twin armor generators, the shields need not be used all the time, although it is recommended to raise them in battle. The two ammunition loaders can be fed interchangeably with autocannon or laser ammo. Twin torpedo launchers round out the corvette's armament. The ship's speed should be sufficient for escaping engagements that cannot be won, and an escape pod is included should the worst happen.
  
  *Note that the escape pod must be charged beforehand. Use the power transfer box next to the pod's docking port.
