[RP] City 17 - Residential Block Pre-war

The final part of a three-part map series. This is the hostel area before the occupation of the Combine. Part one can be found here and part two here!

Nothing should be required as it should all be packed into the BSP. The map file itself should be "rp_city17residentialblock_prewar", minus the quotation marks.

Do note that while no game should be required, the size and scope of the map might cause some issues for users on lower-end PCs despite rigorous optimisation. As well, be aware that despite attempts to prevent conflicts, other workshop items might still conflict with assets used in the map.

• d3_c17_06a to d3_c17_09 merged into one.
  
• Cleaned up textures and summer-themed, pre-Combine-styled map.
  
• Spawn room with four destinations for teleport.
  
• Working traffic lights and clear roads for car travel.
  
• Buildings cleared to allow custom stores, services, and living arrangements
  
• Nodegraph and navmesh

While in the Gmod Sandbox mode, any dead bodies, blood stains, activated map scripts or other changes can be cleaned/reset using this: Pressing Q -> Utilities -> Admin -> Cleanup -> Cleanup Everything

Since huge portions of the job were done with the previous two maps, a lot of this map was about details. Stuff like adding doors (I've always imagined that the Combine deliberately takes doors away to break privacy), swapping textures for cleaner versions, and getting some of the water features to work. The fountain required some experimenting with env_splash, env_smokestacks, and possible textures or props for the moving water.

Probably the largest work that had to be done was getting some of the buildings and roadways both in the skybox and in the map itself, to look good enough and align with each other.

Also, between this and the Canals Pre-war map, I think I like the militia skybox better than the one I used to use.

With this final map in the trilogy, I shall be doing an update for Sector 16 and then working on a bigger project, some more minor updates to preexisting maps, and some extra Youtube content. After that, I shall return to making new maps for Gmod!
