Yes, factory-made full-auto M16A4 exists, but for international market only.

That's why it's normally not in the US? Blame Colt for that.

Funnily enough, M16A2s that were purchased from Colt were all full auto, and the US Navy had M16A3 which was basically the A2 but full auto.

That's not M16A1, M16A1 has the handle that has a triangular shape. Also, M16A1 as Full Auto Variants too. This is definitely not M16A1, it shouldn't looks like that. In L4D2 is M16A2 yes, that one has burst option.

@Lolexx There is such a thing called the M4 Carbine which is/was the most commonly issued M4 variant of the United States Armed Forces which included only the Safety/Semi/Burst fire modes; I believe it was just a shortened variant of the M16A2. While the M4A1 (A1 being Safety/Semi/Full-Auto, similar to the M16A1.) is/was the variant issued to squad leaders that has the Full-Auto feature replacing the Burst fire mode.
