Autocannon

描述
Energy Weapon | DPS: 2 400 | Size: 3 x 3 | CP: 6

Shoots twice per second in quick series of 8 projectiles (150 damage each) at range of 225.
Allows you to select what targets to prioritize: Ship parts / Projectiles and Missiles / Both.

Once installed, you can find it in energy weapons group. No research required. If you cannot see it, make sure that you checked this mod in menu's mod settings.

Power Use: 0.13 / shot (2 / sec)


EXTRAS

Feel free to modify it any way you want. Recommended way is through making own simple patch mod and have your changes in there so they persist even if your favorite mods get updated.

Basically just check out the game's example mod and add your changes to the actions array like in the example below while making sure you set the correct path to the .rules file you want change. You can use the same file with other mods as well, just set different path.

Of course, you can also just modify the mod's setting directly but in that case all your changes will get reset if there is an update.

increased range since now it feels like the ship needs to be in point blank range to even fire it's autocannons

Btw, I don't have much time to figure out how to add overclocking right now but it's definitely something I will want to add in future, probably after we get the carrier update.

it would seem that with the new meltdown update this mod will cause crash, could you please update the mod to fit the latest version of the game, thank you

@Alus | Herrscher of the Void: I second this, it has a higher dps than heavy blasters while using less crew and only slightly more command points.Also it has a very high turn rate and can even fire over other autocannons. cool concept but it could do with being a bit more balanced

2.4k DPS for a 3x3 seems a bit... Too strong- Even with 2 power/s. I love the concept, but it seems a bit strong to me.

@Cpt. Hououin Kyouma: Your best bet with nukes is to dodge them as they arent guided after the launch sequence, you can rotate your ship and the nuke will try to target an are to the side.

Hi, im searching for a good def against nukes. Sometimes i have the feeling Point def and flaks are just useless against that bigboys and i dont want to fly with a huge ball in the front to eat the nukes. Soooo if i set them to missle defend will they actually shot down some? ^^
