The Skewer-class Heavy Destroyer is an Anti-Ship Vessel. It's designed to outmaneuver heavy Cruisers and weapons strip them. It is also used in planetary assaults due to its ability to fly in an atmosphere.

The Skewer-class Heavy Destroyer has 2 main Models DDS- and DDS5-. The DDS- is the workshop variant. The DDS5- is a full heavy armor version. The standard skewer has a nearly full light armor body with a composite armor nose. To make up for its armor it is extremely fast, maneuverable, and has a high weapon count for a workshop ship. It can carry 5 fighters and one gunship/dropship.

Lore:
The Skewer-Class is the Largest Destroyer built in the 2300s. Its size allows for a heavy Amount of Weapons. The Skewer-Class is designed to attack large vessels, so it was given heavy armament. The Skewer-Class was developed using knowledge gained from the Pyrocast-Class Light Carriers Which had a good body for a destroyer, but due to being a carrier was limited in its firepower. The Skewers would be used for planetary engagements which were too dangerous for WCO Cruisers.
