True Longsword

描述
Swaps the game's longsword model with a true longsword model. It also received a small buff to be an overall better weapon.

I'm a big fan of longswords, and I didn't like the game's one being rather a sabre, so I made it an actual longsword. It's still the same model, I just heavily edited it myself.

Hope you enjoy it and kill many things with it!

Note: Item icons are automatically generated when you see the item for the first time, and you probably already saw a longsword prior to installing this mod, which means the icon was already generated. If you want to re-generate it, you need to delete the longsword icons from this folder in Windows or the equivalent in other OS:
.\steamapps\common\Kenshi\data\icons
Deleting all icons also works, but the game will freeze for a sec when opening shops with items you never saw before due to the icon generation.

i love european weapons but visuals is enough for me and changing stats are not really necesary

doesn't change from original game, so that would be Reaver's leader, and the slave traders leaders (i think it's 2 of them), wiki should say more precisely

Seems fine to me. Longsword blades can be ~31"-43" in length with an 8"-12" hilt, and the picture definitely looks like it could be around the short end of that. If we want to get pedantic, you could say it weighs double what a real longsword should (4kg where a real one might be 1.5kg), but that would probably mess with the balancing in-game. It's a great mod, and I'm definitely going to include it in my game. Thanks

Like a few comments pointed out, it's true that the correct name would rather be "Bastard" sword, instead of Longsword, but my main goal was to preserve the original model as much as possible, so I kept the original length.
As for the one handed usage, I think that's fine. Longswords, and mostly Bastard swords were often used one-handed.

I think most of us would agree that the most important part of the mod is the double-edged pointy end, giving it that medieval sword style.

it could even be called "True Longsword", I made a mod that had a sword called "True Hamlet Sword" like an upgrade of the original
