You are running a mod that's ruining the mech loadout. I also have not made any hero variant.

for some reason the mech + hero variant shows up with no weapons at all and when I buy them, there are no weapon slots to put weapons on the mech other than melee weapons. I am pretty sure this wasn't intended as a melee only mech.

Updating the names of the mods below so they can be found quickly on Mechwarrior 5 nexus (sorry Sankara).
Ultra Visual and Weather (the lack of the 's' makes a difference because Nexus is dumb)
Coyote's mission pack and mission overhaul (again, nexus searching is dumb)
Laser Visual Tweak
Source HD Texture (Includes CockpitHD and Mechnormal HD)
Improved Mech Shader (Weapons Shader)

@blackhawk: no, not requirement of other mods. But i would definitely recommed more mods if you want.

@narthan: you have a mod that's conflicting with the Summoner mod. Check your load order.
