Beskrivning
The third ship in the Midland-Southern fleet!

The David J. Ward is named after the Director of German language at Norwich University in Northfield, VT

The S.S. David J. Ward is a self unloading, Triple A bulk ore carrier. She currently carries various ores between the Sawyer islands and the Industrial frontier. This ship symbolized Midland-Southern's dedication to providing functional, practical, and innovative ships for the freight hauling community in Stormworks.

The ship is powered by x2 Farnsworth Allsteam engines and boasts an impressive 30 knots even when fully loaded. Being a large bulk carrier, she tends to have a wide turning radius, though this no issue when considering the distance and time provided for correction with bulk carrying.

The hatch covers are detachable to reveal the ore hoppers for loading the ship. These can be battened down with the toggle button on the forward side of each hatch. The hatches are removed by unlocking the hatch, connecting the hatch to the movable gantry, and winching them up. they can be stored on the deck while loading.

The boom can reach pretty far out over the side of the ship. It does move a little slow but this is necessary for the active stabilizer to keep up as it is a lot of weight moving around. The active stabilizer is able to keep the ship steady in rough storms. It can unload into the mineral hoppers on the dock at FJ Warner docks.

The ship is setup for some RP with radios and entertainment facilities. The ship features a LUA pool table and 2-person pong arcade for long voyages. (these items are not mine and full credit goes to their creators)

Thank you for choosing Midland-Southern. I would greatly appreciate feedback and constructive criticism. My goal is to provide ships that excel in their functionality. My ships may not be the best in decorative design, but they are meant to be player friendly and rugged workhorses. Feel free to leave a comment or message me.

Through the loading ports under the hatches. you have to use the on-board gantry to expose them.
