Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman has evolved into one of the greatest managers of all-time, hyping up his clients and consistently delivering memorable promos during his WWE run.

Prior to serving as the advocate for Brock Lesnar and the special counsel to Roman Reigns, Heyman worked as an announcer, promoter, and manager, and is most known for his role as owner/promoter/booker in the original ECW.

Heyman led The Dangerous Alliance in WCW prior to taking over the reigns of ECW. Heyman is considered by many to be a creative genius, and his work in building up ECW as the clear #3 during a time in which the WWF was at war with WCW was testament to his talent and creativity. Heyman's business acumen may not have been on par with his booking skills, however, and ECW closed after declaring bankruptcy in 2001.

ECW closing its doors led to Heyman joining the WWF as a commentator a few months later. He played a major role in the Invasion angle, joining forces with former WCW and ECW stars to take on the WWF.

In 2002, Heyman introduced the wrestling world to Brock Lesnar. Under Heyman's guidance, Lesnar shot to the top of the WWE and became a multi-time World Champion. Heyman has managed several other talents in the WWE, notably CM Punk, Curtis Axel, Ryback, and Cesaro.

In addition to working as a manager and commentator, Heyman has been the Smackdown General Manager in addition to playing an authority role in the rebooted ECW brand.
