The Magpie class is a series of mining/hauling ships that can hold their own in a low hazard battle. They serve as cheap and efficient starting options for aspiring cosmoteers. The larger Magpie ships use a modular scalable container system that allow them to serve as supply vessels for a dedicated fighting force.

Update 07/11/22: Updated the Magpies crew to the newest priority settings. Also included a 3C & 4C version for conveniency.

...Huqo, this is a starter ship. At the start you don't have lots of money to repair armor after each fight. Also, the thrusters need to be protected and armor slows you down too much.

For this small of a cargo ship, u don't need a shield. 3-4 layers of armor will do.
Shields are expensive.

I don't think collectors are worth it on such small ships. The crew can handle any small amounts of loot jst fine. Only when you gotta salvage an entire station do collectors pay off and by then you'll probably have a factory ship anyway.
I'll have to experiment more with lights.

This was my starter ship, now with some retrofits (9C) They are my salvage fleet of 6 with my main temelin

This is a great starting ship that expands into a respectable hauler when paired with a Tick

I like the EuroSpace collection ur building up, they got a nice aesthetic to them.
And I would recommend making a ship pack that includes all of the EuroSpace spacecrafts in it.
