This mod gives you a new standalone map layer that your faction members can update from anywhere on the map, and the changes to it will appear on everyone else's faction layers IN REAL TIME!.

Don't be fooled by the name of the mod! This is not only for PvP and factions! This is a great mod for your PvE server with your friends!

It's finally time to stop wondering if your friends have looted that house over there or not. Now they have to mark it on the faction map!

And because the faction map is a separate layer, you don't have to worry about organizing your personal symbols and annotations; the faction layer stays separate!

How do I use this mod?
It's simple in a multiplayer server:
- Create a faction,
- Invite your friends (optional, this also works if the faction is one man only)
- Open the map and click on the button to show the faction map!
- Start editing your faction map
- Profit!

A: Yes, that's why I made this mod

A: Yes

so from reading the comments I can summarize for anyone finding this great mod

1) it works. but in my experience, only 1 person can be in the map layer at a time, otherwise markings will keep resetting during sync.

2) share annotations mod has numerous reports of not working, sadly (mainly just want the ability to add the looted "Annotated Maps" automatically to your own map.

3) map symbol size - either it turns icons into a black box (one person said this) or every icon becomes X chosen size. The latter is no big issue, the former, yes...

Otherwise yep seemed to work for me and my friend group (400 mods).

Hello thank you for the mod. I'm trying to add this to my current MP server with friends but the option doesn't show up. Do I have to recreate the faction first? I do have Extra Map symbols and the UI do I change the order please someone help thank you.

My bad, I had a quick look into the code, and it looks like it *should* be real time.

I can't come up with a solution now as I'm quite busy IRL

So it's not real-time like the mod introduction and video says?? Since there's no red in the mod manager, it doesn't seem to be a mod conflict, and the server is only used by me and my friend...

If I recall correctly, the map synchronizes only AFTER you close the map. Or the server you are using is struggling with the player count or mods
