Entry submission for the Escape From Black Mesa Halloween escape room themed competition hosted by Lambda Builds.

Hours after awaking from the Resonance Cascade incident, you a fellow scientist, find yourself alone and abandoned during the lock down in an unknown sector within the Questionable Ethics research facility. Be that as it may be, you are not entirely alone as it seems.

Will you be clever enough to survive and escape the horror that awaits within the shadows and darkness (or walls) of the facility, or will you meet a fate that is more alien than you think?

To launch the map simply subscribe and browse installed content in the main menu.

I also recommend turning dynamic shadows on.

Such a gr8 mod , u managed to improve hl gameplay lol , got Call of Juarez vibe (which is better game). 5/5 . that monster is gr8

@Zeekoff i played on beta and it worked , don't even know what branch else to select , earlier tried march release and it started like downloading 12-15 gb...

p.s. it's crushing if you try to play from workshop but works fine from console. maybe worth noticing.

I realized I was playing on the new Beta branch, and that might be what caused it. I'll try playing it again on the stable channel.

@Zeekoff Do you by chance have any sort of ai altering/general addons installed? That's the only explanation I can really think of as it could possibly override the npc's and prevent them from acting the way they are scripted to in the map.

I encountered a bug. When watching the VHS recording, the hecu in the red berret looks towards the door and not the scientists and never shoots them, he also blocks the entry for the other hecu soldier as well. So the map can't be complete.

This was an amazing map!! I loved the attention to detail, the level ambiance and design, and its genuinely surprising moments. Definitely kept me on my toes the whole way through!

For me this is the best entry in the competition i also need a new underwear.
