I never figured out what to do with the three paintings I took off the wall. They remained in my inventory the whole time.
Also, I got really tired running around the whole map, considering how slow sprinting is in ES and already having to do the lantern puzzle. By the time I got to the chest with the four paintings around it, I definitely chose to just use the guide to complete that. I also didn't know where note 3 was initially. Bad placement, considering it's such a dark map.
For the playing card sequence, more information would probably be needed to complete it. Most people don't know that specific sequence, and they shouldn't have to just trial and error that to get it right.
But, I like the concept as a whole. Would have love some music, for atmosphere. But, eh.
Can you give me more information about the problem in the issue report? That will help me a lot.
It's an secret mini puzzle to open a shortcut. To solve that you need to find the table nearby and set the old candle holder down, then the shortcut will open.
