While most recorded alchemical history focuses on work of historical importance (e.g weapons, drugs, scientific instruments), there is much creativity and ingenuity to be found in more mundane alchemical work. One recipe whose source continues to elude me is that of wire brushes. The brush itself is not what fascinates me, but rather how the alchemical process transforms waste into a useful product. I've spoken to every woodworker in the city and they all tell me they learned the process from their master who learned it from their master. Who knows how long ago the process was first discovered.
