Over a year later my beginner brain also can't comprehend the difference (pros/cons) between A version and B version... I see they're different... but what do they do? :D

Whats the difference between A and B? Is it which road has priority? Feels like this version makes more sense ramp wise getting off the highway than A.

@YUMBL Maybe I am overcomplicating it in my head. Maybe it is just a 6 pronged intersection with a tunnel. I'll give it a shot :)

@YUMBLtv Fair, but I was also curious if Cities Skylines (Or a mod) support splitting off a specific lane on a road (The left turn) into a seperate row (Tunnel)?

@»Mr_FJ« What you're describing sounds like a cloverstack. Its a system interchange for connecting highways, where this is a service interchange for moving traffic to and from the highway. Conflict is ok here.
