Inspired heavily by Advice's Lore of Heavens & Death for Ogres

The Lore of the Deep is an interesting one. Created whole-cloth by CA, it appears to be part aquatic modification of the Lore of Vampires - itself a take on the Lore of Death and Dark Magic - with general inspiration from the sea. The most powerful magical thing in the Great Ocean is the Vortex - which is the other end of the Great Maw, whom the Ogres worship and derive magical power from. Thus, giving the Ogres the Lore of the Deep is lore-plausible, if not exactly likely. Still, though, Spiteful Shot works lovely on Ironblasters, Tidecall's great for clearing away chaff bogging down your big bois, Fog of the Damned is a great way to stop anti-large troops messing up your ogres, Kraken's Pull will let your ogres catch up to just about anything, and everyone loves Vangheist's Revenge. Enjoy!

Some Butchers show an inclination towards magics other than the Great Maw. Some take powers from the very animals they cull, while those who dream of an oncoming fiery comet have a penchant for reading the future and controlling the weather in destructive ways, whilst always looking to the heavens for some skyborne disaster. Still other Butchers revel in the final act of their killing work, and their spells focus on death and dying. A rare few have even made great pilgrimages across the Ocean to stare into the depth of the Vortex itself, calling it the other side of the Great Maw. These return with strange and disturbing powers, summoning ghostly fogs and blasts of water - and develop a fondness for various fish dishes.
