A dakhma, also known as a Tower of Silence, is a circular raised structure built by Zoroastrians for excarnation (that is, the exposure of human corpses to the elements for decomposition). Carrion bird consume the flesh. Skeletal remains are gathered into a central pit where further weathering and continued breakdown occurs.

@No Name I am currently building a Parsi City. The Parsis (Hindi Word for Persian btw) are an ethnic in India which historically lived in Persia during the days of the Achaemnid and Sassanian Empires (1st and 2nd Persian Empires) but later during the reign of the second Great Islamic Caliphate: The Ummayads, believers of the old Persian God (Ahura Mazda) were considered heretics. Many of them fled to India to seek a new life where they could freely practice their faith.

I'd heard of sky burials before, but not this type of structure. Beautifully rendered, very cool and creepy. I'm curious to know what kind of city Tovarish Daniil is building that needs one of these.
