Initially just a mockup designed by S.E.C. Hydrosystems to "1-Up" S.E.C. Atmoworks in the style department, the defense department quickly found a role for this tiny bird. Thanks to its very light weight, S-108 is able to leave a planet's gravity well without use of its rocket booster, conserving fuel in the process. With its booster engaged, the Bolter can quickly achieve top speed and change direction. Primarily assigned to the role of Orbital Patrol Craft, with a secondary role of space to surface reconnaissance, S-108's light weapons loadout is the only thing preventing it from being classified as interceptor.
