One day during their previous lives, the Matoi Siblings sought to create a special little "gift" for their patron and master, Lady Abjal Irem. She who was having trouble with discovering and then nurturing the next being chosen to join her cultivated thralls. Every single person she had her first three thralls abduct and deliver to her to be converted during a series of rituals did not survive past the third day. Their bodies had always broke down and were reduced to nothing more than deliquesced viscera. Mushy remains which the siblings used as a basis to create the spliced chiropteran entity who went on to call himself Aften. The creation of this lustful being involved not only the aforementioned remains, but genetic samples taken from an array of different beings. That which included a man whose body was reforged from the energies derived from the Eudanai, two anthropomorphic bat-like beings that belonged to a race known as the Sangdu prior to their conversion or "evolution" which saw them become enlightened muntjacs, and Abjal's primordial blood. Blood that was collected discreetly as the abyssal woman slept. Though this gift was meant to be presented to their master, the siblings efforts were skewered with events leading to theirs and Abjal's death. What came after was a barely awakened Aften being captured and sealed away by those people responsible for their downfall who thought he would become an asset for them in the future. Twenty years after the Matoi Siblings reincarnated into the current era, Aften broke free from his restraints...
