Skipper Shuttle

PS-1 "Skipper" Shuttle was designed as a versatile and compact civilian planet-to-orbit transport craft for atmospheric planets. It has powerful jet engines for atmosphere flight, hydrogen thruster to lift off into space, and ion thrusters for space manuevering.

Skipper has 2 medium storage containers, pressurized cabin, 2 pilot seats and 2 passenger seats.

Onboard computer system can be set to autopilot this craft.

However, to leave a planet with 1G pull (or comparable) a pilot has to lift shuttle as high as possible in the atmosphere and then fire hydrogen thruster, while pointing nose up into space. Thrust override keys are provided for this operation, and as such pilot should decrease override force along planet's gravity decrease to conserve fuel.

In case of emergency, shuttle is equipped with reloadable parachutes. They are switched manually by pilots by default configuration.
