[OFS] Atgeir Frigate (Discontinued)

The Atgeir was designed as a multirole frigate for independant privateers and militia forces. To make this ship affordable, OFS decided to cut on the R&D costs by simply reusing a Hydra Light Carrier hull and modifying it. The result is a rather small and lightly armored ship with the weaponry to punch above its weight. Although it has less cargo and hangar space as an Hydra, the Atgeir has better frontal armor and weaponry and a fully armored CIC with no exposed bridge, a rare feature on OFS ships. This frigate remains cheap enough to be mass produced and often ends up in the hands of the largest outlaw groups who appreciate its rugged design.
