This is a pack of 8 Texas Central EMD SD70M-2 locomotives, they are in TC's Firebird scheme which has served as TC's primary livery since the mid 70s.

These units were bought by Texas Central in late 2020 after they were retired by Norfolk Southern, Texas Central currently owns 61 of them and they are commonly seen on Intermodal, Coal, and Grain services thoughout Texas Central's system. These units do suffer due to their DC electrical system, and crews complain of a rather rough ride, both of these problems are planned to be fixed by a rebuild program starting in late 2022.
