Adds the sallet and cuirass as pre-industrial armour alternatives.

Have you ever felt that the game lacks medieval armour choices? Me too. That's why I made this mod which adds the cuirass and sallet. They are craftable with the Plate Armour research.


Cuirass: Same armour values as Plate Armour but protects only the chest, neck and shoulders. Slows you down less
Sallet: Slightly better armour values than Simple Helmet and protects the whole head, but reduces shooting accuracy


Also contains a patch which makes tribals offer this armour for sale and sometimes wear cuirasses in combat

Given a cuirass is more in line with a flak vest than plate armour, so the cover provided by the armour here works well. I am curious as to how it compares stat-wise with that armour though given flak armour can only be made with steel, and requires a component.

Same applies with the sallet for both the flak, and simple helmet, although those are any metal

I like the idea of this mod. Suggestion: make the cuirass to not occupy the outer layer - just as the flak vest does, so it will be a good option for hot/cold places (where human can't survive without wearing duster/parka). As a result, the cuirass will be a complete, balanced pre-industrial analogue of the flak vest.

Only from metals and wood, just like the vanilla Plate Armour :)
The bluish material is from the mod Runescape Metals

Looks cool. Can the cuirass be made from leather though? That would be weird. (Looks like that on the screenshots)

Or what is that blue-ish material that some pieces are made from?
