明孝陵神功圣德碑亭Ming Xiaoling Pavilion

南京明孝陵神功圣德碑亭始建于明永乐三年（1405年），永乐十一年（1413年）竣工，是明成祖朱棣为其父明太祖朱元璋所立的“大明孝陵神功圣德碑”的碑亭。由于战火破坏，其后长期的自然劣化、风雨侵袭，明孝陵神功圣德碑亭上部大木屋架烧毁，仅余石质柱础及下部砖砌墙体和须弥座，失去了原有的面貌。
碑亭位于紫金山南麓，明太祖朱元璋之孝陵的大金门内。碑亭砖墙体量高大，不仅每边长达26.8米，墙厚更逾7.5米之巨。百余年来，失去了屋顶的碑亭被老百姓称之为”四方城“。2013年，碑亭保护工程竣工，恢复了明代时期的屋顶，保护了长久暴露于外的神功圣德碑以及碑亭城台本身。

The monument of Nanjing Mingxiaoling Mausoleum（明孝陵） started in the year of 1405,and finished in 1413.It was the tower of the monument,which is set up by Zhu Di（朱棣） for his father,Zhu Yuanzhang（朱元璋）.Because the natural weathering and the wars fire,the monument tower was damaged badly.Its wooden part was totally destoryed and only the stone foundation and the brick walls survived.
The stele pavilion is located at the southern foot of the Purple Mountain（紫金山）, inside the Gold Gate of the Tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of Ming Dynasty. The brick walls of the pavilion have a great size, not only 26.8 meters long on each side, but also more than 7.5 meters thick. For more than a hundred years, the pavilion that lost its roof was called "Foursquare Castle" （四方城）by the common people. In 2013, the pavilion protection project was completed, restoring the roof of the Ming Dynasty period, protecting the long-exposed Stele of Divine Merit and the pavilion itself.
