Solar farms generally have multiple rows of solar packs, or battery racks to help store and contain the energy converted from the sun for use when the grid needs it.
The game has no native way to store energy for emergencies when you need it during a brownout/blackout, so instead this asset generates a small amount of electricity, about 5MW. Unrealistic in reality, but a small enough amount to be appropriate for the game's theme and worth money and space.
The conversion, storage, and AC units within these racks all produce a very small amount of noise, however these are louder than the smaller racks so keeping them a bit further away from residential may be wise.
