ON THE PROPERTIES OF THE UNIVERSAL REAGENT I

The development of the universal reagent by nyx is arguably modern alchemy's most niche innovation. A simple tripartite molecule of lead, mercury, and aether provides alchemists the opportunity to obtain any other element through the course of any transmutation and be left with useful byproducts, but it's too expensive for nearly all purposes; and if one has any better alternative--van Berlo's wheel and alcohol comes to mind--they ought to use that instead of this particle. And yet, its flexibility in the transmutation engine needn't be overlooked solely due to its impracticality. Herein is one of six transmutation puzzles presented for the reader to better learn its properties and potential applications in a purely hypothetical sandbox.
