Singleplayer / Coop Mission 1-8



1964 - The Malayian Communist Liberation Party is taking shipments of USSR weapons through their new NVA Allies based in Cambodia. The deployment of the SAM S-75 is a significant threat to the Geopolitical situation around southeast asia.
The Malaysian Federation has requested British support in preventing another Civil war throughout the region and preventing any escalation or threat to our Former / Current Commonwealth Allies

Despite no offical involvement in the Vietnam War or surrounding countries, the United Kingdom has deployed members of 22nd SAS Regiment commonly know as "The Regiment". to conduct covert operations throughout Cambodia and Laos. Your involvement is strictly off the record and you will not be supported by the UK government if captured.

Destroy the S-75 System then proceed to Extract.

Note: If playing COOP, ensure atleast 1 player is the Recon Team Lead

Good mission. But I didn`t fine Malayan smbd who I needed to kill.

@Johhnyboy Thank you for the feedback, the boat should drop you at the infil location. I have had the same issue when I issued a disembark command whilst on the boat. The AI should automatically exit at the point. Ill try and replicate your issue later next week.

Love the briefing and dramatic infil music. I'm playing SP, and the infil boat drops team off at island south of actual infil point. This means team will have to swim to mainland NE of island, then travel north, and swim again W to infil point and enter the AO. Since vanilla AI suck at following team leader across water, this is a barrier to doing the mission. I happen to be adding a "AI cross river" script now to my SOG AI mod which will solve this problem. So I'll try this mission again when that is complete. This mission looks like it has great potential, so I am looking forward to it. Meanwhile, I recommend you change SP boat infil to take team to actual infil point marked on map.

@themightyculsh Thank you for the feedback, im glad you enjoyed the mission so far.
I will take your feedback into consideration, The primary reason for the smocks is to distinguish between the UK SF and other commonwealth nations who wore similar kit (Malayan Emergency ect.). Also like the idea of field testing the the new DPM Camo. Agree with the beret :)

I've only managed to play a little bit so far (I want to put a section of friends together to do a full run through), but from what I've seen the mission looks nice. Is it possible to run this on a dedicated server?
As for feedback, my only piece would be the uniforms look out of place. The smocks and berets wouldn't have been worn because of the heat, my personal choice of gear would've been the ANZAC jungle hats from SOGPF and the Aertex OD uniforms from Spearpoint Alpha.
If you like, I can message you through discord with some pics of the style of dress for the period because this feels like one of those missions where it could be different every playthrough and I like that style of play.
