Unfortunately, it will work only for any localisation except english. The mod on this page will be later updated for english version. So anyone, who plays any other loc than english, you can safely unsub from this mod and sub for my newest update

Sounds in Shogun 2 are a mess, so I sorted it out. There are already tons of "fixing arrow cannon" mods, but mine is different, because not only it fixes that problem, it leaves other sounds original. To achieve this I had to change "projectiles" db table, so my mod is less compatible than English Bob's mod, for example. My mod can be used as a foundation for other mods, that add new units, cuz my mod fixes wrong sounds dead

My fix is intended for vanilla projectiles. If a mod you use has new projectiles, here is what you can do:
1) Go to projectiles table
2) Find new projectile key
3) In "gun_type" column type appropriate entry

cannon - Armstrong, Parrot and naval guns sound
howitzer - european cannons sound
musket_breech - modern rifle sound
musket_flintlock - arquebus sound
musket_carbine - Tosa riflemen sound
pistol - revolver sound
puckle - Gatling gun sound
rockets - fire rockets unit from Sengoku sound

Compatibility:
Incompatible probably with almost everything. Later I'll probably add to the description more detailed info about it

If you use a mod, that changes the same tables as my mod, you have two ways:
1) Use PFM and edit those tables yourself
2) Ask the mod author to update his mod

Thanks to crux3D for his symphony tool and a pity, that he hasn't finished it

UPD: fixed Parrot's gun missing launch particle effect. Thanks to dev codek for pointing it out
UPD 2: now this fix includes my latest fixes to the sounds, finally getting rid of wrong field musicians sounds (infamous trumpet sound now works only for modern cavalry). You'll need to download sound files separately cuz of Steam Workshop's max limit for the file

Put the_real_sound_fix_sounds.pack in your Shogun 2's data folder and enable it in your Mod Manager

I'd recommend backing up your original files

@EnumaEllis, it won't work. You'll have to merge them manually. Or ask Engineer Weirstrass to update his mod, using mine. But that would be pointless, because if I find the will to continue, I'll update mine and the changes he would've made, would've been in vain

@Bieber, my description is relevant only for new projectiles. If you use my mod only, everything will work as is. If you want to use my mod with another mod, that changes any tables like mine, you'll have to merge that mod with my

@Khazukan Kazakit-ha!, gun models aren't linked to gun sounds. They can have bows and cannon sounds. I tried to make it like in vanilla and afair carbine cavalry had the same sounds as line infantry. I would've made each gun sound unique in my big mod, but I lost interest in modding a long time ago

If you knew what you were doing, you wouldn't paste all the vanilla entries in those tables, you would only create what's necessary for your unit. This is just making your mod incompatible with a lot of other mods for no reason.
