Facial Animation - WRelicK's Delegation

Better alternatives for many of the races patched now exist. I recommend rescaling heads to your liking using Stylish Rim.


FAWD is a Facial Animation extension for a selection of alien races. These races and humans also receive some size rescalings for aesthetic purposes. See the previews above for examples.

FAWD also includes custom Facial Animation head graphics for the Ayameduki races, the arachne and the rakkle. In the latter’s case, this is the first Facial Animation patch (to my knowledge) that properly colors the skin on rakkle faces!

If XML Extensions is installed, you can selectively disable support and rescalings per race.

With Facial Animation: Experimentals installed, the Neclose and Arachne both render with dark sclera.

Note that the included art assets are all derivative of NALS’ own work. This was done for the sake of making the art look as close in style the original assets as possible. All credit to NALS for the original textures.

TEXTURE MODIFICATIONS
A few textures from the Ayameduki race series are replaced by FAWD. I have contacted the original author for proper permission to do this but have received no reply. They're welcome to let me know if they'd prefer me not to use these modified textures.

Nexaga body textures – Replaced by a modified version of the Nearmare body textures. This made them consistent with the other races, thus preventing me from having to draw another set of APP masks for THIGAPPE. This was mostly to conserve on development time while keeping the races’ appearances consistent. I intend to draw masks specifically for the nexaga to circumvent this.

East/west hair graphics from all Ayameduki races – FAWD uses modified hair textures from the Ayameduki races to add new hair defs, then patches any of Ayameduki's installed races to use them.

FAWD requires Facial Animation to work. Although Facial Animation: Experimentals is not a hard requirement, it’s strongly recommended.

FAWD was originally designed for use alongside my APP extension, THIGAPPE. As of 12/31/2024, they are completely separate entities.

FAWD is only compatible with Ayameduki Race Facial Animation (ARFA) if FAWD's support for the Ayameduki races is disabled via XML Extensions. I would personally recommend ARFA's race support over FAWD's to better adhere to Ayameduki's artstyle.

• Ayameduki Tweaks - If you're using the Ayameduki races, this mod will prevent the addons from being offset incorrectly for adults or children of the races.
  
• Camera+ – How are you gonna look at them faces when your camera's got an avoidant personality?
  
• Dubs Apparel Tweaks – The most compatible of the "show hair under hats" variants.
  
• Hair Modding Plus – To support the new Ayameduki east/west hair textures.
  
• Revia Race - Facial Animation – If loaded above FAWD, the latter will apply its head size rescalings without overwriting any of the former's new assets.

I deliberately included the most derivative of my textures into FAWD to make the blanket statement that I can't really license any of them out. They are highly derivative of Facial Animation's own textures and as such I think it's unwise to allow people to modify them any further.
