I know the feeling. And after all that savings, when you reload the zone after leaving, you may discover they despawned anyways.

I remember the time I had to kill 57 raptors with a spiked club, carrying a knocked out bonedog pup just to save a farm from total obliteration...

I got my melee attack up to 40 after the whole experience.
