LMS Ivatt Class 4 'Flying Pig' Mogul

描述
This class of mixed traffic engines was built by the London, Midland and Scottish railway under then-CME H G Ivatt. They were in service well into the BR era and one example, 43106, is preserved.

Liveries:
LMS (available 1947)
BR Imperial Logo (available 1948)
BR Late Logo (available 1948)

Variants:
Single Chimney
Double Chimney

Stats:

Top Speed 70mph
power = 1701 kW
tractiveEffort = 107.5 kN

Assets are included, as well as a rusted asset version.

@James I seem to recall there is an equation for calculating the power of a steam locomotive, and that's the number it spat out. As you say, rating power output of steam locomotives is a nightmare and thus sometimes you have to guess. I'll have a look into this if I have time!

P.S. Either/or I forgot to change the value from whatever train I based the MDL file on.... :P

@planesimple - thank you for a fantastic looking loco. It seems a bit over-powered though. 1702 Kw makes it significantly more powerful than a Class 40, for example. Should it have been 1701 Horsepower, which sounds about right? Rating power output of steam locos is a nightmare, I know, but I’m interested in your thoughts.
