"Francis Algernon West, more commonly known as Frank West, is the playable protagonist of Dead Rising, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, and Dead Rising 4. He also appears as the deuteragonist of Dead Rising 2: Case West, a supporting character in Dead Rising: Road to Fortune and Dead Rising: Watchtower, and is mentioned in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 3. His popularity has caused him to be referenced in many other video games after his initial appearance in 2006."
