"gloveless variant is unlikely as doing it in the cs:s hands mesh is incredibly difficult,"
- Alright, noted.
"there are no full finger black gloves (just see the screenshots??)"
- Oh, my mistake. I was talking about the screenshot where there are two models standing (orange sweater and green sweater), and the green sweater guy has full finger black gloves, so I had thought that that was a part of the mod.
"fingernails being fully white is a weird issue that only happens in nmrih iirc, due to env_cubemap/specular mapping that cs:s uses for the nail especifically to simulate the gloss. no way to get around it other than removing the shader altogether, or fiddling with the game options (maybe turn off HDR?)"
- Yeah, you're right about the specular mapping; I just turned off HDR, and it's no longer white and glowing. Thanks.
If I wanted to rework the mapping, how should I go about it to make it compatible with nmrih HDR?
fingernails being fully white is a weird issue that only happens in nmrih iirc, due to env_cubemap/specular mapping that cs:s uses for the nail especifically to simulate the gloss. no way to get around it other than removing the shader altogether, or fiddling with the game options (maybe turn off HDR?)
Is anyone else having this problem? Or do the fingernails reflect the environment lighting like how other metal objects do?
