Lore:

A common predatory fish found in most aquatic environments of the Tr'allanga home world; but is more often found in rivers and swamps.

The Mo'ru is decently sized and feeds mainly on the common Mi'ri fish; but is itself prey to larger animals.

Mo'ru possess a spiked exoskeleton on their backs; said exoskeleton allows them to hide from predators and makes them more difficult to attack.

But on the other hand; these fish hunt by swallowing their prey whole and using internal crushing teeth to grind up their prey.

These fish have a lifespan of 15-20 years and become sexually mature adults at 5 years old.

Mo'ru reproduce in a similar manner to earth salmon; in the spring females will dig pits in river beds and lay their eggs; which a male will fertilise.

Once the eggs are fertilised; the female will cover them with dirt and move on to lay more eggs; each female can do this 5-7 times per spawning season.

Eggs take 12 weeks to fully develop and newly hatched Mo'ru will stay in a group until they reach 3 years old.
