Prior to their willingness to coexist in harmony with its significant half, Sæsn, the Akashan Keystone, Ussem briefly existed in a tormented state made up of the amalgamation of restless souls. Souls who weren't fortunate enough to survive the fall of the previous universes. Twelve years after the birth of their offspring, Islisuna, Ussem was given the chance to return to their original station at the precipice of the universe and make amends with the world they had wronged, this including Giselle. Though, with a catch. Instead of being the linchpin all by its lonesome, Ussem would be required to reside in tandem with its newly created other halve who bears the same name Ussem use to possess. Ayann and the Traẏi (three entities who exist independently from the two universal keystones) were successful in brokering a deal with Ussem. The results were Ussem freeing the souls that were trapped within itself to the afterlife, and returning to Penjara to watch over its halve while Sæsn remained in Dunra. Forever cycling souls between one another and maintaining balance. Before departing for Penjara however, Ussem met with Giselle again on "better" terms in order set things right with the young lady who is now attending college. At first, Ussem was responded to with fear and was turned away. An expected reaction. Simply opting to apologize to her and offering to erase those memories wasn't enough to bridge the gap that was between the two of them, let alone sooth the traumatized woman who has turned toward a life of celibacy. Realizing it was going to take much more time and effort to fix their image of her, Ussem set off to rid themselves of the broken body that shared much resemblance with the body used to take her. The new visage you see here is what happened after Ussem incorporated themselves inside of Father Krein's body, one far more compatible with them than Soren's body was. And after returning to Penjara, Ussem sought out Ayann's assistance in becoming accustomed to life on Earria where Islisuna and Giselle dwells. With Luasa's assistance as well, the only member of the Tianem family who has experience with life on Earria, Ussem seeks to follow an all too familiar path of penance and growth while contending with their original duties.
