Japanese Light Cruiser Ōyodo

Here is the light cruiser Ōyodo of the Imperial Japanese Navy!

Ōyodo was originally designed as a scout cruiser ment to command sub operations. She was instead used as a standard light cruiser, an escort ship, and transport due to the war situation. In 1944, she was refitted to serve as the flagship of the Combined Fleet, and participated in the Battles off Cape Engaño during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, and Operation Kita. She was sunk during the Raids on Kure Naval Base, and was scrapped in 1948. Ōyodo was the only ship completed in her class. Her sister, Niyodo, was cancelled due to Ōyodo occupying her slipway.
