Automove (Toggle Forward Movement)

描述
Keep moving forward while chatting by text or multi-tasking!

This addon simply lets you toggle forward movement. Also known as auto-run for some MMO (ie. FF14, WoW) mechanics.

Automove adds two console commands that let you move forward automatically and change the type of movement (walk / run / sprint):
  • automove
  • automove_mode

The first command activates or deactivates auto move, the second command changes and displays your selected movement type.

It is suggested you bind these like in the examples below:

  • bind g automove
  • bind h automove_mode

Tested in Sandbox singleplayer and multiplayer but should technically work on most standard gamemodes.

Why use this instead of autoexec/+forward?

You're looking at a reduction from about 5-6 key binds (2 from toggling walk, and 2 from toggling sprint) to 2 key binds instead.

i meant like just walking because i know this has toggle walk but i dont want to use the toggle running and sprinting

i wish someone made a toggle walk so you don't have to hold down the alt key

it's no problem, mostly asking out of curiosity from one who achieved an interesting script. I like unique control mods like this and I appreciate you.

This is a neat concept. This may be unrelated but would you know how to make aim down sights in and out to separate bindings? Also I'm trying to get a addon where you are crouched when still but when you start to move you uncrouch, but can press the crouch to stand. Random but worth a shot to ask

@SiEgE: You can, but that only covers default running and doesn't cover the binds you need for walking/sprinting. This just simplifies into 2 binds with an additional visual indicator.
