Happy Independence day!

What better way to celebrate than with one of most aggressively American weapons used in the Great War? This angry pump action tube of buckshot found its way into the trenches towards the end of the war. In a war where most combatants were armed with bolt action rifles and pistols, this powerful old shotgun was bound to have an impact. Such a weapon would go on to be viewed as warcrime stick by those on the other end of it. The weapon also saw use as a hunting shotgun.

Many very ornate models of this shotgun were owned by many a wealthy hunter. The mechanism of the weapon is also unique compared to other contemporary shotguns as the pump essentially arms an external hammer and the bottom of the feed tube actually shows outside of the body of the weapon when the action is worked. These workings are usually hidden inside the receiver and it is a pleasure to see them externally.
