Kentuckiana - A Kentucky/Indiana Map


Good morning y'all! Today, I bring you a new map, based off of Kentuckiana - the region in and around the Louisville, KY metro. Nestled along the Ohio River on the border of Indiana, Louisville is the largest metro in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Founded in 1778, it's one of the oldest cities in America west of the Appalachian Mountains. Home of such notable events such as the Kentucky Derby, people such as Muhammad Ali, and even things such as Louisville Slugger baseball bats, it's a city quite larger than many might think. I've never been here though, so don't take my word as the gospel on that last part.

Map Information

On to the map itself, it's got 3 rail connections, 4 plane connections, 2 ship connections, and a multitude of highway connections. Quite a few deposits and field paintings of oil, ore, and fertile land exist scattered around the map. On the edges of the maps are large hills and small mountains to spice up the terrain. The Ohio River goes through the center of the map, with some streams feeding into it along it's way through. There's also a castle area on the eastern side of the map outside the 25 tiles, based off the Bullitt Estate.

As for requirements, YOU WILL NEED MASS TRANSIT!!! MASS TRANSIT IS REQUIRED FOR FUNCTIONALITY. No form of tree anarchy is required as there's only about 210k trees here. However, all the trees are workshop items so you will need to subscribe to them for full scenery. As for the theme, I used the Stray Cats Territory - Homecoming theme. As it's just a theme, it's not explicitly required, but it's very highly reccommended. The major highway interchanges are also workshop interchanges, but are not needed to subscribe to this map.
