The CRN Forrestal Class Escort Carrier is a gen 2 CRN Warship, 300 meters in lengh the Forrestal is a relativley large warship in the CRN navy. Capable of fielding up to 20 craft the Forrestal is a versatile warship capable of leading large excursions. Additionally the Forrestal is atmospheric capable and is rated for 1g flight further adding to her versatility as a combat vessel.

Lore:
Built in 2552 The Forrestal is a legacy ship in the CRN navy, being several hundred years old at this point the Forrestal has proven itself time and time again in combat, as a versatile and effective warship. Making its debut in the second intergalactic war the Forrestal class was a valuble asset to the CRN during the siege of Nova Prime the CRN home world. In this long grueling offensive, the CRN was forced to push the ESA out of its home world, and as the Second intergalactic war progressed, the Forrestal carrier proved itself time and time again as a combat effective warship. Now 400 years old the CRN Forrestal is now being replaced and phased out by newer Jupiter class escort carriers. 400 years of meritorious service under the Republic Navy has earned the Forrestal a place far above any other warship the CRN fields.
