Victor VTOL Transport - No Scripts - No Mods

描述
The Victor is designed to be heavy lift transport utility ship. Its rotating thrusters allow the pilot to configure the vehicle for maximum lift or maximum speed.

No mods. No scripts. VTOL ship. This ship can be built on any server. It's designed to rotate its large hydrogen thrusters to the rear for high speed forward flight or down when carrying heavier loads.

The design is purposely small in order to fit through a set of vanilla airtight hangar doors. So this ship functions well in larger ship and base hangars. In the Custom Data of the flight seat is a guide to maximum weight for all of the major gravity settings on the different vanilla planets. You'll get around 1.7 m/s2 upwards acceleration/deceleration at those masses.

The squareness and three-ish block height makes the ship extra easy to use with a printer or build by hand.

The build can ENTIRELY be build by projector.
There is a caveat:
The two hinges are facing each other but NOT connected to each other.

Here's how you fix that:
Grind off one of the hinge-parts, then place a new hinge-part connected directly to the remaining hinge-part, weld it up, then go into the menu and "Attach" that hinge-part to its hinge. Now everything is good to go.

I've built and tested this ship on a public server. So it will work as described. I like building large ships that are capable of fitting through air tight hangar doors. So if you notice that I build a lot of square ships or without a lot of armor blocks, it's for that reason. I enjoy minimalist builds that are playable on public servers.

IMPORTANT!!!
ALSO TO NOTE: in natural gravity, the main thrusters might not want to raise up for maximum horizontal speed. To get around this issue if it happens, fly UP until you're going reasonably fast (25-75 m/s) and then turn off your inertial dampeners. Now you're in basically negating gravity and should be able to rotate your thruster nacelle.

Man, I'm definitely taking inspiration from your designs since they are far superior :shigure2::nekoheart:

Hi, this is a great job! Have you measured how much weight it can lift in normal gravity?
