Checked Mate has appeared in the Basement!

Checked Mate is an item that was planned for Antibirth but was cut. This mod brings it back!

It will spawn a champion enemy every room, killing that enemy will kill all other enemies. This champion enemy has more health than normal.

I like it. Nice consumable source from some champions and killing enemies all at once is just satisfying

imo this would be a lot more fitting as a trinket, as this is an intense thing to commit to. It could either make your life a nightmare, or trivialize the game. Being a trinket would balance it out, as if its too tough you can drop it, or if its really good you may need to consider passing up other trinkets for it.

Not worth picking up imo. The champion enemies now have tooons of health, good luck ever killing them first.

i picked it up, i killed a champion and my game immediately crashed

Did it crash when starting a game? when killing an enemy? when you find an item?

I can confirm my theory. I copied everything from your lua file and pasted into a lua file in another mod, overwrite everything in it. Now I can translate it into Chinese and have no issues in game. Basically your lua file is different from others, some kind of format or decoding method are different, I don't really know. But your lua file can only contain 26 English letter in it, anything else will not work. You might want to check this out, because that means all your mods can't be translated to any other language with special letter. Including Spanish.

Maybe its because i edited lua file using notepad? i dont really know

I think the reason for Chinese won't work in the game is because your lua file. Like the spanish EID description, there're a lot of gibberish, like those strange symbol like "s髄o". I also have ancient revelation mod installed and the Spanish EID description in that mod seems normal in the lua file. The reason that cause Spanish letter to glitched is also the reason that make Chinese translation not working.
