The Orphanage (The Trapped Soul – Part 2)
St. Joseph’s Orphanage, the year 1875. The headmistress Mrs Agnes Theresa McKittrick – widow of late Mr McKittrick – has been directing this creepy place on her own since her husband passed away 5 years earlier. Since the death of her husband, she has had a reputation for being downright evil and cruel. Under mysterious circumstances, Mrs McKittrick is suddenly reported missing. And so are her orphans. What happened to them?

For more than a century, St. Joseph’s Orphanage has been sitting empty, abandoned and decaying. And it is known as being a haunted site – and a very creepy place by night.

However, being an investigator of haunted sites, it is a very awesome place for you to explore.

With the intention of investigating the activity in the building and with the hope of being able to set the souls trapped inside the building free, you now find yourself standing outside in the rain in front of this horror house with your camera and a flashlight.

Now, open the door – and all the best!

This is Part 2 of The Trapped Soul Trilogy. Each room is a standalone experience, so you can play them in any order.


IMPORTANT:
Once you arrive at the orphanage, be sure to bring these items with you:
• Ghost Camera
• Flashlight

Hi @OCDCoder, thanks so much for your super kind words and for playing my rooms. 😊 Wow, you did the dormitory part without any clues – that’s really impressive! Well done! 😊 I’ll definitely take a look at the potential issue of getting trapped in the mistress’s office [\spoiler]. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I discovered the original Trapped Soul last night and absolutely loved it! I'd planned to take a quick peek at this one and turn in for the night but, well, it's daylight now... LOL I love the way your mind works, I love your puzzles! I did want to let you know one issue I tripped over. If you're in the office, you can reach the headmistress portrait through the stained glass wall and trap yourself in the room. Heh, oops. (At least it was before I got to the bedroom. WHICH I DID WITHOUT SPOILERS, I'm so proud to say!) Now, I should probably get some sleep. Though I'm kind of wanting to check out part three...

Hi @-Forest-, thank you for checking out The Orphanage. :) Thanks a million for your nice comments. As for the crosses puzzle , I agree it's one of the harder puzzles in the room. Great that you managed to solve it after all and proceed. As for the ghost, it definitely would be crepier if it was more animated. I will consider to implement some animation. . Thanks again for your feedback and for playing my room.

Playing Linux. Won't load. Drops back to Library. Tried twice, watched and only using like 50% of memory, CPU high while loading, drops down to like 76% use and then quits to Library.
Decided to use Proton Experimental with Escape Sim and now it loads.

WoW, pretty good. Didn't really like the crosses in the dining room. Too hard to figure out the stirring direction from the numbers I got the 7586 one think by accident, then the 3142 it seemed to start with the left most cross even though it didn't line up with the numbers. Maybe I just messed it up. Like I did the Left porridge placement. I had one x in wrong place.

Wish the game would let the ghost act more animated, would be creepier. Still you make great maps!

@SuperFriiz for sure! My best friend and I seem to be great at breaking things!! hahaha. the ultimate testers here :) Please, don't stop making levels while you can. I love that you provide story, lore, and puzzles that make you actually have to think.
