Night Paranoia - Horror Map

描述
From the creator of Shoot Bang, Night Paranoia takes a different approach in themes and gameplay. Moving away from the typical action packed styled maps, Night Paranoia is a dynamic & open-ended horror experience where the player is provided with a wide range of options to survive a house break-in situation.



Features:
  • A very dynamic experience where the player can use a variety of items and options around his house to survive an intense and potentially deadly house burglary.
  • 10 different endings depending on which options the player chooses, making the map very replayable for those that wish to hunt all of the possible endings. Two of the endings are Easter-Eggs.
  • A heavily scripted Intruder created with the intent of providing a unique and non-linear stealth system by making the intruder randomly roam the house. Hide from the intruder and try to figure out a way to escape or take him down without him seeing you. If you are spotted, you can still hide in closets or under beds to lose him.



Requirements:
  • Sv_cheats must be enabled for the map to function properly.
  • Play the map as it's intended, in a relatively vanilla state. Don't use gameplay changing mods such as:
    - NPC AI Mods
    - Player Movement / Weapon Mods
    - Etc
    As you might break the map.
  • Don't spawn any props, weapons, npcs as the map might break. Everything that you need to use is already in the map and is scripted accordingly.
  • This map is intended to be played by only one player. It will not work in multiplayer.

Endings Walkthrough:
This section contains steps on how to achieve each ending in case you want them. Otherwise, avoid this section and enjoy hunting for them yourself.

  • Self Defense A - On the lounge upstairs, grab the white key on the table. Head downstairs and exit through the back door into the backyard. Grab the axe and attack the Intruder.

  • Self Defense B - Grab the shotgun ammo on the bookcase on the first floor. Go upstairs and grab the shotgun in the bedroom with blue walls. Shoot the Intruder.

  • Escape A - On the lounge upstairs, grab the white key on the table. Head downstairs and exit through the back door into the backyard. Grab the axe and break the wooden fence. Run away on foot.

  • Escape B - On the lounge upstairs, grab the white key on the table. Head downstairs and head to the dining room. Grab the car keys on the dining table and then exit through the back door into the backyard. Grab the axe and break the wooden fence. Use the vehicle in the garage.

  • On The Run - Grab the shotgun ammo on the bookcase on the first floor. Go upstairs and grab the shotgun in the bedroom with blue walls. Injure the intruder enough without killing him until he gives up and runs away.

  • Rescued - Grab the telephone on the table next to the front door. Head upstairs and get inside of a closet. Call the police and wait for them to arrive.

  • Patient - Survive for 10 minutes. The intruder will then leave.

  • Murdered - Die.

  • Shoot Bang (Easter Egg) - Grab the cassette on the TV stand in the lounge area downstairs, then grab the telephone and get inside of a closet. Call your childhood buddy with muscles that are too heavy to swim. Wait for him to arrive.

  • Tired As Sh*t (Easter Egg) - Find 5 sleeping pills bottles to go back to sleep. The intruder has enough dignity to not wake you up during a Friday night. The bottle locations are in:
    - The kitchen, by the fridge.
    - The bookcase on the first floor in the lounge.
    - The bathroom on the first floor, on the toilet.
    - The bathroom on the second floor, in the shower.
    - The bathroom on the second floor, on the sink.
    Once you have collected all 5 of them, head back to sleep.

Good map. Only complaint i have is how useless the hiding mechanic is besides one ending because the intruder does less damage than an atom.
