Official lore for those interested: Naftikós is set in the Easter Mediterranean and is largely Greek with a large Arab Minority. The island was a French colony captured post World War 1 and as such has a french minority largely centered around remaining french military activity and businesses. After the French annexation The Arabs ruling class instated by the Ottoman empire who where promised independence for there fight revolted against french rule. They soon rallied support from Greek militants and fought together against the french after fighting lead to a stalemate the french and the Greek-Arab Coalition which had formed reached an agreement in which they revived some relative autonomy compared to the other french colonies of the time. Coalition which had formed largely remained and formed a limited government which would later go on to force the french out in a minor conflict in the Late 50s after the Suez Crisis diminished the french image of power. The coalition soon won and formed a Parliamentary government and developed its own modern image separate to its historical ones...
