The first model of its class, the Petrel was created as a shuttle for military officers, and therefore was designed to have an interior that focussed more on viewing and personal space than actual crew capacity.

Larger and heavier than the Petrel, the Crane was designed to be able to transport more troops more easily.

Note: the Crane features retractable landing gear on pistons. Unfortunately, in the current build of SE, this is a highly volatile contraption. Therefore, it is recommended that the Pistons be turned off when not in use (otherwise the ship will constantly roll to the right side), and that they remain fully retracted when moving (or bad stuff happens).

It is not in my nature to release a design that requires maintenance, but i do hold high hopes that the design will eventually be fully functional with future updates to pistons and rotors alike. in the meantime, i suggest you do not attempt any agressive manuevering ;) .
