Disclaimer and FAQs
  • Mod is still in active development, so expect updates.
  • Mod is tested in Singleplayer, Coop and Dedicated Server environments with multiple people. It works.

Important Changes
Removed Mod Options. Mod values can be configured in the sandbox options. I believe this approach is more balanced and fair. (See screenshot)
Because of this change, existing saves will revert to using default values (Min: 350, Max: 1500, Consider Traits: true, Consider Occupations: true). This is the only way to make saves backwards compatible.

Exhausted from your character always panicking when they see a zombie even though they slaughtered countless zombies? Then this mod is for you.

What It Does
  1. After you kill 350 (Modifiable through Sandbox Options) zombies through melee or gun combat (no fire burns), you get the chance to become brave. This chance increases as you get more zombie kills.
  2. If you reach 1500 (Modifiable through Sandbox Options) zombie kills, you automatically become brave.
  3. Some traits and professions also change the chance that you'll become brave.
  4. You have a chance to gain this trait at midnight (00:00).
Considered Traits that change the chance of gaining the trait
Postive: Hunter
Negative: Cowardly, Agoraphobic, Claustrophobic, Hemophobic, Pacifist

Considered Occupations that change the chance of gaining the trait
Police Officer, Fireman, Park Ranger, Security Guard, Doctor, Nurse

Frequent Answers

Do Combat related Traits from the More Traits mod like Thuggish and Practiced Swordsman count? The are Melee related so i don't see why those would not increase your chances

my dream was i starting game with coward trait. when i killed 350 zombies i become brave it is not work like that :(

This mod does not seem to work on my server. I have desensitized as well and that went into effect immediately after the first 00:00 on the clock. My current character has 2300 kills but after multiple days no Brave trait received.

I don't get the midnight chance, it means after I kill 350 zeds I'll have a chance to get the trait or every midhight there's a chance?

Imo being a Burglar should also increase the chance to become brave/desensitized cause it lowkey takes some balls to break into other people's property

I can't believe someone just said "delivery drivers are more brave than police", then proceeded to call the other person a troll. Get some help dude.
