Men, prime the onagers!!
You always play on loose formation yeah? Start using shields and cavalry instead of standing on the arrow rains. Loose Formation is a shitty and cheap mechanic for stretching a squad across the entire battle map, which when used by AI should show us its intelligence, but in practice it just stretches out already drawn-out battles, like in MK1212, and also makes the use of missle units even more useless.
If you do not use archers you wont understand that, but we, proud and just saggitarias of our nations understand, that loose formation of an army is a awful unco,fortable and not beuatiful mechanic. So AI must not to have that, even if you mustnt neither.
So this is a great mod, it removes this pathetic crutch from the arsenal and makes you fight harder, catch bowmen and crossbowmen faster, cause they now more deadlier and brings missile units back into the game as opposed to the unbalanced unfortunate attempts to shoot all the ammunition for 15-16 kills.
No i can't send you my ancient sources on loose formation because in contrast to testudo, shieldwall, pikewall and other formations i have never heard of something like that in a historical context.
MK1212 changed a few stats. I updated this mod so it should work now. lmk if you still experience issues.
Load before MK1212
@Sheph
"loose formation" is not a thing IRL and annoying ingame thats why this mod exists. To get rid of that.
